Hi! We are Pat and John Dacus and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.
We were both born in Jonesboro. My parents are June (deceased) and Eva Dacus, longtime residents of Jonesboro. I have one brother, Fred Dacus.
Pat was raised for most of her life in Paragould. She is the daughter of John H. and Mary Lane. She has two brothers, John R. and Kenny and a sister Marcia Sanders.
We have two sons, John III and Joshua. John III, his wife Cristi, and our grandchildren Carson and Sydney live in Collierville, TN. Joshua, his wife Ashley, and our grandchildren Rileigh, Noah, and Beckett live in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Our married life began in Jonesboro in 1967. I was employed by Western Electric and Pat was employed with National Bank of Commerce. Shortly after my graduation from Arkansas State University in 1973, I began my career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. We were immediately transferred to Little Rock. From there, we transferred to Pine Bluff, back to Little Rock, and finally to Plano, Texas. During my 35 years with SWBT, Pat worked in the banking industry and the telecommunications field.
2001 saw a big change for us. I elected to take early retirement and join Fred Dacus Associates. I am a 2002 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Jonesboro. I have achieved the Executive Broker designation and GRI accreditation. I am working toward my commercial license designation.
After the sale of our home in Texas, Pat was consumed with the responsibility of overseeing the construction of our home on Greers Ferry Lake. Once the house was completed, she decided to join me in the real estate business as part of The John Dacus Team. She was a member of the Jonesboro Newcomer’s Club and served as the Treasurer as well as the Big Sister/Little Sister Chairperson. Pat was also a member of the Plano Newcomer’s Club and served as their Treasurer and Special Events Chairperson. Pat is a PEO. We are members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
We both enjoy meeting and working with people. With each of our eight moves we realized the importance of having a knowledgeable realtor working for us during the purchase or sale of each home. Please give us a call if we may assist you with buying or selling your home. We know the importance of a smooth transition for you and your family!
